On slowing down,
to move forward.
We’ve been quiet for quite a while.
Not because something was wrong, but because we needed space.
Space to think about what Yorenda was, and what we wanted it to become.
Yorenda began as something deeply personal.
And for a while, it was carried by one set of hands.
Over time, though, it became clear that Yorenda was ready for more room.
Another perspective. Another set of hands.
So Brooke joined. Once a customer, now a partner.
Not to change what Yorenda was, but to help shape what it could become.
And with two of us holding it, we began looking more closely at what we were creating and what we wanted Yorenda to become.
We loved our original products.
Some will most likely return in time.
But the more we listened, the more we noticed the same feeling coming up.
Skincare had become overwhelming.
Too many ingredients. Too many steps. Too many decisions. And for sensitive or compromised skin, too many opportunities for something to go wrong.
We began to wonder if what skin needed wasn't more.
Maybe it needed less.
So we stripped things back.
Not just in how Yorenda looks, but in what it offers.
Fewer ingredients. Fewer decisions. Less noise.
Skincare designed to feel safe.
Calm. Reassuring.
Not just in branding, but in formulation.
We also stepped away from social media for a while.
We felt the constant pressure to always be visible.
Always saying something. Always launching something.
That never felt like Yorenda.
So we waited, until we felt ready to return with clarity.
With intention. With something meaningful to share.
Yorenda is still what it has always been.
Slow. Gentle. Deliberate.
Just now, it’s held by two people instead of one.
And shaped by an even clearer intention.
To create skincare that feels calm,
before you even open the bottle.
